I live in Mill Valley, CA and I’m a mom to a beautiful toddler boy named Daniel. I live with my husband and our cattle-dog mix, Indy. And yes, she’s a handful. More than my kiddo.

I have almost two decades of experience in merchandising and project management in the fashion retail space. I have worked at large corporations as well as start-up brands on both the East and the West Coast. (Fun fact: I was the first merchandiser at Stitch Fix in 2012).

In 2020, I pursued a Sustainability MBA at Presidio Graduate School and found myself working in the sustainable fashion space while also mentoring Black entrepreneurs through my company, Cashew Agency.

Daniel was born in July 2022. His diaper was the first diaper I ever changed. I didn’t really have the village I thought I would have. I was struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety but wasn’t able to name it until Daniel was 18 months. I became very passionate about the postpartum experience as the default parent and mother in a modern world. Mikado Postpartum was inspired by sleepless nights, weeks of prepping for family trips, and countless times asking myself “How can I make this easier for myself? Why is this so hard? What do I need? What can come off my plate?” I am inspired to redesign the postpartum experience in hopes that Mikado Postpartum can offer you the greatest gift - more time for yourself, improved mental health, and more space for you emotionally to bond with the ones you love.
